Well, first off, I would suggest to you that you don't think of
the "reboot button" as such. Unless the button initiates the
shutdown of Windows before rebooting (and I've never seen one
that did), it's essentially a power button which is shutting
off power, and pulling the plug on Windows, before restarting
Windows. It's not safe to do this. You need to shut down Windows
and wait til you get the message that it's safe to shut off your
computer, at which point you can shut the power off completely,
or hit the power reset button, as I call it.
Using the power reset button as you are doing can result in
bad sectors on the hard disk, which may be unrecoverable.
I'd be surprised if Quickbooks didn't make a backup copy of
the file, which you might be able to find in its directory,
and restore.
If that's not the case, one utility that may be able to scan
the bad sector(s) and retrieve the data is Steve Gibson's
SpinRite:
"SpinRite is able to operate on all Windows XP NTFS formats,
all DOS FAT, all Linux file systems, Novell, Macintosh (if
temporarily moved into a PC) or anything else ? it can even
be used to repair and recover the hard drive from an ailing
TiVo!"

You can buy it from this page. It's not cheap, but although
there's no absolute guarantee it can recover your data, it
may be worth the investment, depending on the nature of the
data:
