Does Cingular have plans to add service (GSM) in Washington, DC's
underground metro stations and trains? My understanding is that
Verizon currently has reception there, but no one else. I'm curious
if Cinglar plans on adding that service, or if its not possible on a
GSM network.

Verizon currently has a very large customer base in the DC area for
many reasons including the metro service. If Cingular had plans to
provide service underground in the near future, I'm fairly certain
they would get the word out as best they can.

Agreed. I'm just wondering if anyone has any "inside" info. I heard
there was litigation about this, but haven't confirmed anything.
Anyone?
