I saw a segment on the Daily Show with Jon Stewart where Stephen
Colbert did a story about Mr. T. suing some company for using footage
of him for a commercial. I found it to be quite amusing.

How can I get a hold of this story?

Rainbow,

Not quite. When I say I want the story, I was referring to the actual
story that Stephen Colbert did. So I want to get the segment that
aired on the Daily Show.

Do you remember approximately when this particular segment was aired?

I suspect it was in 2003.

One episode showed Howard Dean campaigning for President in Spanish;
the show ended with Joseph Lieberman doing a speech in Spanish, badly.
This tells me it was before the primaries of 2004.

This was when The Daily Show used to air on SBS, which is a
free-to-air channel in Australia. It stopped broadcasting the show
after a few months, so I'm confident that it aired in 2003; I can't be
any more specific.

politicalguru-ga,

I went to your link and it says "Page Not Found."

From the URL it looks like you think it could have been Steve Carell.

I'm sure it was Stephen Colbert, as I remember his segments being my
favourite part of the show. I didn't even know that Carell was part of
te Daily Show.

Although, I have not been able to find a clip or transcript of the
segment, I found this reference:

Jon Stewart: Tuesday, June 3, 2003

1. "Texodus: President Bush is in Egypt, meeting with five Arab
leaders at Egypt's premier golf club. Look out for those grass traps
[in great seas of sand]."
2. "Scene of the Climb: It was fifty years ago that Sir Edmund Hillary
climbed Mt. Everest, and today Everest is covered with frozen human
waste."
3. "T & Sympathy: Mr. T is mad at Best Buy for using him in their
commercials without asking his permission or paying him. Now he's
suing them, and he pities the fools."
4. Guest Eddie Izzard said that a child who was not yet one was zero.
"Their age is nought."

I hope that helps.
