The type of shoes popularized in the 70's/disco era.

Perhaps there is a reason why this fad is no longer with us.

You'll have to find new goldfish to put in your shoes every few hours
when your delicate "pets" die of stress, shock, or oxygen starvation.

While a goldfish may be a lower life form with an attention span no
longer than my own, I don't think anybody in this organization should
be party to helping one end its life in prolonged terror.  If my
comment offends you, write the editors about it.  The practice was
reprehensible in the 70s and is just as reprehensible now.
