I need historical data in an excel sheet for daily and hourly rainfall
in large cities across the United States. We've found monthly data but
were not able to get daily or hourly data in excel.

It would help if you gave us a bit more to go on, and a fuller
description of what you need, and most importantly, What, exactly,
would you like us to do for you?

To get more detailed daily/hourly data, you'll need to go to each CITY
site and find the data, or be able to pay for the information compiled
by the National Climatic Data Center:
