Question ID: 709061
regarding blook glucome meters: i want to know if the cheap, $17.99
gerneric version of the, $79.99 name brand version is just as good. i
don't care if one is small and compact, as it's not for me, it's for
my cat. all i care about is price, and if it's a good, reliable meter
that will give me accurate reads. will the cheap one fall about
quicker? i just don't know anything about it, and it's such a huge
price difference, i'm afraid to get the generic version, because it
seems too good to be true.

hi there,
As far as I now My Mother in law use 3 diffrenet machine to count
sugar, from the most expensive to on of the lowest on price, the
results r allways the same. I'd go for the cheap 1. In today's world
most of the equipment is made by the manufactore only the packadge,
the outer sheel is change to give the customer a posh feeling.
try it, open some TV, look at the chips on computer card it's all the same
goodluck

cyclop may only have one eye but he is seeing things correctly.

Mostly everything you buy is essentially the same inside; the
difference is only in the packaging.

Think of cigarettes. A friend of mine was amazed when he went inside a
ciggy factory and saw every brand imaginable being made from the same
material.

Also, cosmetics. Another friend of mine packages cosmetics and it's
all the same junk.

Also, wine. It comes to the UK in tankers! Then it gets bottled and labelled.

Also, petrol. The oil companies pool all their supplies.

Go for the 'generic'!
