I have decided to honour one of my subjects who is currently in favour
by making him a Knight of the Garter.

I can't find anything suitable on Amazon, ebay or in Tesco.

Ideally, the thing should be washable; not too expensive; deliverable
to the UK; and with a discount for quantities.

I guess that it will probably be 'Made in China', like everything
else these days, but I would appreciate it having an 'EC' mark somewhere, even if
it's counterfeit.

Any ideas?

His Majesty, Emperor Bryan The Good (to be), has commanded me to say
how delighted he is with the responses of his most worthy subjects.

The cheapo version identified by Sir Answerfinder of the Grand and
Noble Order of the Pink Garter looks ideal.

His Majesty is also pleased to graciously award Dame Polly Guru with
one of those ludicrous objects that she has found on ebay.

His Majesty has also carefully reviewed the Comment made by the Varlet
Myoarin and is pleased to appoint him Court Jester. For this role, the
Varlet Myoarin will be required to study the Danny Kaye movie of the
same name and to carefully distinguish the vestle with the pestle.

All expenses to be met by the loyal subjects themselves.

By Order of Emperor Bryan The Good (to be)

Signed

Mistress Daisy
(The Emperor's Royal Yorkie)

Of course there is something:

Now I must know - is it me? Or am I noble enough as it is?

Bryan,

This does not meet your criteria on two counts: it?s not washable,
it?s too expensive.

Looks like the original though.

Or are you thinking more along these lines: cheap, washable and a
colour to remember.

"a discount for quantities"! Are you planning to expand greatly the
number of members of this most exclusive order? What will the price
- er, I mean - the amount of the loan necessary be? This sounds very
invidious, your whole principle of royal rule based on money.
