Below are four examples of funds/foundations supporting developing
countries with financing of sustainable development in various forms.
I am eager to know other funds/foundations/donors of this kind.
Preference is for funds/foundations/donors who sponsor projects in the
coffee sector, but other sectors would also be of interest, e.g.
leather, textile/garment, handicraft, cocoa, spices, fruit/vegetables,
....
The financial support should be in the form of grants for projects in training,
marketing support, assistance with certifications, environmental
improvements etc. etc.
I have come across these four funds/foundations that refer to such
projects - including some related to coffee:
www.google.org (refers to Technoserve....)
www.doen.nl (DOEN Foundation in the Netherlands - several coffee projects)
www.kbs-frb.be (King Baudouin Foundation in Belgium - refers to Efico/coffee)
www.rabobank.com (Rabobank Foundation in NL - refers to some coffee projects).
Please note that it is financial sources (grant/money providers) that are to
be listed. It should Not be a list of companies, NGOs or organizations that
implement projects sponsored by the type of funds/foundations I am looking for.
The answer should include around 15 funds/foundations. At least half
of them should be relevant for coffee - in addition to the four above.
It might well be that there is a website somewhere showing a complete
list of such funds/foundations/donors..... but I have not come across it.
