Is this some kind of homework or an exam question? ""Era's" without the apostrophy, please.) In colonial times, many thought that Africans were more closely related to the apes. Now we know that we all are. |

In earlier times, it was quite common for books on anthropology to view other cultures as inferior to the author's own culture, rather than merely different. Some of the racist and culture-biased statements from anthropology texts of days gone by are rather shocking today. |
