Where can I find English-language accounts of the 1980 debate - in
Parliament and in the press - over the amendment to Article 2 of
Egypt's Constitution. The amendment changed the wording of an article
2 provision from, "Sharia is a principal source of Egyptian law" to
"Sharia is THE principal source of Egyptian law."
