In microsoft word if you use the letterhead template and replace it
with your own graphic everything works fine. THEN THE HORROR STARTS.
When you marquee select a large amount of text the "locked" graphics
on the bottom and top of the letterhead just delete themselves for no
reason. Without selecting them! What gives with that? I thought they
were locked.

To make the question clearer, which letterhead template are you using
as thus may vary from computer to computer. Guide us through step by
step exactly what you are doing, i.e.

1. Open Word.
2. Select New from file menu.
3. Select ?.......etc

This way we can copy what you are doing on your computer and follow
the steps on our own computers to identify and solve the problem.
