I'm trying to figure out how to best benchmark the disk subsystem on a
Windows 2003 computer that will be used to host exchange. The server
is an IBM 346 with local attached SCSI drivers. When I did a search
on-line I found benchmarking tools that where giving figures such as
2212 MB/sec my question is that if I'm using Ultra-320 SCSI disks and
they are rated at 320 MB/sec data transfer why do the benchmark tools
output out such high IO numbers? Also if you know of any good benchmark
tools to measure the IO performance tools of a disk subsystem that
would be very helpful.
