We're planning to offer a 3-day course in the US and need to know how much to charge for it. The main people attending will be psychiatric nurses and social workers etc: professionals who work with psychiatric patients. So what I need to know is WHAT IS THE TYPICAL PRICE RANGE FOR SHORT COURSES THAT PSYCHIATRIC NURSES AND SOCIAL WORKERS ETC ATTEND? If you can find 3-day courses, that's great, but equally if you find 1 and 2 day courses that's good to ... I can extrapolate from those. Another variable is whether the course is 'Open' (e.g. people travel from where they work to a hotel in New York and pay $X per day per head) or 'On Site' (i.e the tutor travels to a specific hospital, charges $Y for the whole course and the hospital chooses who to put on the course). Both are of interest to me, but I guess 'Open' may be easier to find. Ours is quite a high level course (psychological approaches to working with extreme behaviour) so anything of a similar level will be of most interest. |

Here is link to a nursing college offering post-graduate short courses. The college is in Virginia and may be worth contacting for information. http://www.nursing.vcu.edu/courses/Graduate%20Short%20Syllabi.htm |
