Dear Ashley,

This phenomenon is known as "parasitic limb" or "parasitic twin". It
is usually removed at birth. There are reports such as this one:

Baby born with three legs
<http://iafrica.com/news/sa/256986.htm>

Would this kind of material suffice?

In addition, there is historical material, mostly from freak shows and
circuses, that existed at the beginning of the 20th century. I would
imagine that most of the "freaks" pictured there are already dead, but
one could do it as a historical programme.

Would you like these examples as an answer?

I should have been more specific. What I'm looking for are
names and locations of people who CURRENTLY have extra limbs (theat
have not been removed)

I've already contacted the following people:

Tirso Fucal (extra fingers), Dominican Republic
Antonio Alfonseca (extra fingers), Texas
Devender Harne (extra fingers), Nagpur, India
Manar Maged (born w/ two heads), Cairo, Egypt
Abongile Mangqi (Born w/three legs and arms), Capetown, South Africa
Destiny Lunsford (born with three legs), Detroit
Shi Jinling (three legs), Yunnan Province, China

I'm told that Yamanappa Mootageri of Karnataka, India (three legs) is a myth

Thanks!

The main problem: Even if a Researcher successfully traced such
people, he would not be allowed to provide you contact information due
to our strict privacy rules.

Ashley,
Here is an article about a child born with a third leg, but it was
removed by surgeons. This suggests why you will probably not discover
anyone with anything more than a sixth toe.

I'll appear on your show, subject to a suitable fee.

I am quite sure that your make-up folks can do whatever is necessary.

You might also like to rope in Rolf Harris, an Australian entertainer,
who sings a song 'Jake the Peg' about a guy with an extra leg.

When delivering his ditty, Rolf appears to have THREE legs.

I'm Jake the Peg, diddle-iddle-iddle-um
With my extra leg, diddle-iddle-iddle-um
Wherever I go through rain and snow
The people always let me know
There's Jake the peg, diddle-iddle-iddle-um
With his extra leg, diddle-iddle-iddle

Looking forward!
