On the DVD version re-release of the original 1962 thriller much of the scene with Sinatra and the ever lovely Janet Leigh was ad-libbed. So if the actors made it up as they went along that specific sentence may not "mean" anything. The line "Are you Arabic" comes from Richard Condon's novel "The Manchurian Candidate," upon which the film was based.
