Dear equityman-ga
I have found a list on a supervising government site under the
following description:
"Company Category: Stock Exchange and clearing
Institution: Broker Company"
There then follows an extensive list of company names, addresses,
telephone numbers.
First, is 'broker company' what you are looking for? The word
stockbroker does not appear anywhere.
Secondly, the list does not contain website details. Does this still
meet your requirements.
Thirdly, the list is extensive. Instead of posting it here, may I give
instructions on how to find it yourself?

1. Question: Yes, broker company is what I am looking for.
2. Question: Website is very important, but of course I can then find
also them with google myself quite easily (but with a quite a lot of
work) as I know the names and addresses etc. Is it possible that I
sink the price from 5 to 4 if you provide me with the list without
www-addresses?
2. Question: Yes. That is ok, main thing is that I get the list.

Dear equityman-ga
I'm afraid the list is too extensive (over 150) for me to research the
websites for the value of the question.
As for dropping the price. I believe you will have to contact google
to cancel the question and then re-post it as a new question for the
new value. I cannot guarantee that I shall be the first to lock the
question.

Dear equityman
Since my last clarification request I have found a site which may be
the Swedish Stock Exchange (there is no English version). It provides
a list of companies. Many of these are duplicated on the above list. A
random clicking on some produces some website or email details. This
will assist your collation. I am afraid the list is still too
extensive for me to carry out this part of the exercise.

Ok, if you will provide me with the both lists, then the answer is
complete. I can check the www-addresses myself if needed anymore. (I
can understand Swedish so that is no problem that the other list is in
Swedish)

Dear equityman-ga

Thank you for your patience with all the clarification questions but I
just wanted to make sure that I was providing the right information.

The Finansinspektionen (the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority -
equivalent of the FSA in the UK and SEC in the USA) provides a list of
brokers under its supervision.
The website is http://www.fi.se/english/index.asp
Click on ‘Central Register’ and under ‘company categories’ select
‘Stock Exchange’ and under ‘type of institution’ select ‘brokers’.
Click search and the list will then be shown.

A direct link to the list is:
http://www.fi.se/index.asp?x=/english/central/foretag.asp%3Finstituttyp%3DMBOLAG

additional information including some website or email details. This

Do not hesitate to ask for clarification of any part of this research
or if the links do not work properly.

Search Strategy
Personal bookmarks of world-wide financial regulators.
However, on google: sweden +financial +supervisory
://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=sweden+financial+supervisory
Then searches on company names to find Stock Exchange? site

Dear equityman-ga
In addition, members of the StockExchange are shown at
http://domino.omgroup.com/www/WebTransaction.nsf/publicse/medlemslista_memberlist?OpenDocument
this list is obtained via the members area:
http://www.stockholmsborsen.se/exchange/index.asp?lank=15&lang=eng
However, this list is not as comprehensive as those already supplied
and does not provide websites.

Thoroughful work, but the searcher seems not to be too familiar with
the field: the first links provided like:
http://www.fi.se/index.asp?x=/english/central/foretag.asp%3Finstituttyp%3DMBOLAG
http://www.sfm.se/medlemmar/index.msql?action=alla
do not contain equity brokers. They contain insurance brokers,
consulting companies etc.
However, the last links were just what I needed:
http://domino.omgroup.com/www/WebTransaction.nsf/publicse/medlemslista_memberlist?OpenDocument
http://www.stockholmsborsen.se/exchange/index.asp?lank=15&lang=eng

A very good habit is that the answerer lightened his/her search
strategy:
