sbahmed-ga,

I think I can get you close to what you need, but with an important caveat.

There is a commercial service that specializes in providing mailing
lists of political leadership in the US. Their list includes more
than 300,000 names and contact information, including:

Congressional Staff Member 13,711

Consular Affairs 1,903

Government Affairs 8,628

Attorney 23,780

Member of the 109th Congress 551

Political Action Committee (PAC) Contact 1,652

Political Appointee 19,454

Reporter 6,138

and my favorite:

Lobbying Firms 17,071

There are dozens of other categories included on the list, each with
the number of contacts in the category. The listings are not a
perfect match for all the categories in your question, but it comes
awfully close.

Although the list is heavily weighted to the DC area, it is not
exclusive to DC...hence my caveat. For instance, the master list of
300,000+ names includes Governors and state legislators, as well as
Washington DC politicos.

I'm sure the mailing list service could crank out lists of just the
DC-area contacts -- or perhaps just the data (numbers of contacts) --
for major categories. They probably would charge you for this
service, though I don't know what the price would be.

Let me know if access to the complete list of categories, with numbers
of members in each category, would meet your needs as an answer to
your question.

If not, please let me know what additional information you would need.

Thanks,
