I am trying to find out how many officers the Jacksonville Sheriff's
Office currently has employed. The ideal number would be the number of
patrol officers from a reliable source that can be cited. I was unable
to find it from their official webpage, because that would be the best
source. If the number of patrol officers can not be found, the number
of uniformed officers or anything close will do.

I located this from a case study published March 2005:

"The Jacksonville Sheriff?s Office is responsible for law enforcement
in an area of northeast Florida covering 840 square miles. It
comprises a force of about 1,700 officers and 1,000 additional staff."

Let me know if that suffices as an answer to your question.

Best regards,

There is a "Jacksonville" city, town and/or county in every state in
the US (and in some states there may even be two cities so named). It
would help to know which state you are referring to.
