I have seen posters on message boards(yahoo finance) who can pull up
old posts by any poster to refer to in their posts. They do it in a
matter of minutes, if not seconds and I want to know how to do it. I
would like to be able to search the posters (nik name) and narrow it
to a phrase or key word in one or more of their previous posts. I
know about Yahoo's search feature at their finance message boards and
this is not what I'm referring to. That never works well if at all,
some posters have figured out a unique solution for this and I want to
know how to do it.
Thank you

I would like to be able to search, as an example-
ColeThornton "this is a great stock"
and limit the search to just the message board for a particular companies stock.
General Google searches are way to vague to do any good, and the
search feature at Yahoo finance is a joke!

You might try Google's site search, described here:

For example, you might try a Google search of:
site:finance.yahoo.com ColeThornton
(although I tried that particular search, and it didn't return anything)

Thanks, I have already tried the obvious easy stuff and also had no
success. There is a possibility that there are some who actually
monitor a particular message board and are entering the posts into
their own seperate data base, so they can search them. I doubt they
are going to this much trouble and there must be an easier way to do
it, maybe some sort of utility. In any event I appreciate your
thoughts.
