I need to set a Verizon provided Westell versalink 327w modem in a
bridge mode and then configure the VOIP adaptor in PPPOE mode.

I do not have enough knowledge of networking. When I configure this in
bridge mode, can I continue to connect to the internet?

verizon told me that I cannot set this modem in bridge mode, but maybe
they are not giving accurate information.

Please provide detailed instructions or a explaination why this is not possible.
