Hi

I have an xserve running tiger server with one external ip on en0 and
(supposedly) an internal on en1. I have the "built-in ethernet 2" in
the network control panel set to retrieve an ip address using DHCP but
try as I might it won't! HOWEVER... the network interface info in
Network Utility reports that it is receiving an IP address - It still
says it is receiving an IP address (ie. as if on DHCP) if I set a
manual IP address in the
network control panel. So, there seems to be no link whatsoever
between the Network Control Panel and en1.

furthermore... I can ping en1 on the address it reports to be receiving
but I can't access any services on it even if I disable the firewall completely.

I would be very grateful for any help

Many thanks
