Where can I buy UNwaxed cinnamon dental floss? It would have to be
available for purchase near San Antonio TX, or online.
Reach used to sell unwaxed cinnamon floss, but the product was
discontinued. I THINK that Safeway grocery stores sold their own
Safeway brand of unwaxed cinnamon floss, but I don't live near any
stores and can't find it on their website.
I found one site that claimed to sell unwaxed cinnamon floss, Chelsea
Distributors, but when I ordered, they said it was permanently out of
stock. It's still on their website at
http://www.chelseadistributors.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=browse&id=2416&pageid=31
.
Anyotc.com claims to have the old reach product, but they have
substituted Reach CleanBurst Cinnamon, which is a waxed product.
Their site still says they sell unwaxed
http://www.anyotc.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=7238 .
$ Paid to anyone who can direct me to a website or a local store where
I can actually purchase unwaxed cinnamon dental floss. |

Hi Bchap,
I've really scoured the internet for your product. I think some of
these may be what you are seeking, but am unable to contact anyone
today (Sunday).
This Canadian site carries cinnaon dental floss, but it does not state
if it is waxed or unwaxed!
Please feel free to contact us at
450-243-6101 ext. 23
if you have any questions.

This UK site has Reach Cinnamon floss, but does not state if it is
waxed or unwaxed. Try e-mailing them, and also inquire about shipping
to the US. I recently purchased gloves from a UK site that did not
mention shipping to the US, but they were more than happy to do so,
and the price was the same for within the US shipping!

You'd have to dig around, e-mail, call, etc. to locate a vendor for
this company's product!
"We produce dental floss for companies around the world, with their
private label or with our own label. Among our products we have:
* Nylon or PTFE Dental Floss
* Waxed, unwaxed or flavored (Mint, Cinnamon, Strawberry, Spearmint, Lemon, etc).
* Taped, rounded or texturized dental floss.

Curiously, The Canadian Dental Assosciation recommends numerous
products, none of which are cinnamon flavored!

The pocket floss products are waxed, and I believe that the oral sense
is as well. Sent an inquiry to double check.
I'm quite sure that the Johnson and Johnson product sold by the UK
company is waxed, as it looks like the one they sell in the US. Sent
an inquiry to double check.
I didn't see the cinnamon reference from the Ranir web page that you
copied, but I sent an inquiry to them just in case.
Also sent an inquiry to the vendor from Columbia; I had not seen that
site before. Good find.

Hi Bchamp,
Look at the description next to the 7th illustration. The photo shows
waxed, but they list several types of floss next to that photo.

Please let me know!

Hi crabcakes,
All the vendors listed came back and said that they do not have
unwaxed cinnamon floss. The only exception is macrolab. Email
directly to them came back as undeliverable, and they have not
responded to a web form inquiry. My guess is that they no longer
exist.
This is my first time trying to use Google Answers. Although you
didn't lead me to a vendor that I could order from, I don't think the
work you did should go unrewarded.

Hi Bchamp,
Thank you so much for wanting to compensate my work. I do want you
to know, I still search, and I also go straight to the dental supply
area when entering a store! I appreciate your generosity, and will
keep your floss in mind! I wonder if cinnamon un-waxed floss was a
poor seller? Very odd.
I will see if I can find a better e-mail address for the one that
bounced back. I will post if and when I do. I'll be out of town for a
few days, but I will not forget. You have been a wonderful customer.
Thank you SO much!
Sincerely, Crabcakes |

Thank you Bchamp! You are a champ of a customer! Thank you for the 5
stars! They make me smile!
Did you e-mail this address? msierra@macrolab.com.co
I wrote them a bit ago, in Spanish, and so far it has not bounced
back. I will keep you updated!

Hi Bchamp,
I received a response from
The original response:
Gracias.
In English:
There is not an online reference to (cinnamon flavored unwaxed floss),
but we could try it out and see. Typically, dental floss flavors need
the was as a means of keeping the taste on the floss. Please let me
know what kind of floss you need and the amount, and in what kind of
container (practical application use)you need. Thank you.
The above came from MacroLabs, in Columbia.
At this point, you could try writing to them in English (Assuming you
don't write in Spanish) at msierra@macrolab.com.co
I don't know if you are wanting this for personal use or to resell.
If Macrolabs can not answer you in English (I'm betting they do!), I
will be happy to translate your brief note to them, for you. Simply
post here and I will respond to you, send the e-mail in Spanish, and
post the answer here.

I just wanted the product as a consumer, so I'm not ready to have
someone investigate starting up a new production. I got a similar
response from Ranir - saying that usually you use wax to affix the
flavoring on to the floss. I would have taken that to heart, but I
know J&J sold an unwaxed cinnamon floss product until quite recently.
It must not have sold very well, and from your and my research, I
feel that there is likely not any more being made. Thanks for the
follow up.

I'm sorry this went nowhere, Bchamp! I also recall that J&J used to
make the floss you are seeking.
I'll still keep my eyes open for the re-appearance of un-waxed cinnamon floss!
