I am trying to find the exact source for the following quote,
attributed to Jack Welch, former CEO of G.E. "?Good business leaders
create a vision, articulate the vision, passionately own the vision,
and relentlessly drive it to completion." I must have total reference

Hello.

The quotation comes from an interview Welch did with Harvard Business
Review in 1989.

"He spelled out his management philosophy in an interview with Harvard
Business Review:
Good business leaders create a vision, articulate the vision,
passionately own the vision, and relentlessly drive it to completion.
Above all else, though, good leaders are open. They go up, down, and
around their organization to reach people. They don?t stick to the
established channels. They?re informal. They?re straight with people.
They make a religion out of being accessible. They never get bored
telling their story..."
Cited to:
Noel Tichy and Ram Charan, "Speed, simplicity, and self-confidence,"
Harvard Business Review, September-October, 1989.

The quotation appears on page 77 of "Big Shots: Business the Jack Welch Way"
by Stuart Crainer. Crainer also cites it to:

Tichy, Noel and Charan, Ram, "Speed, simplicity, and self-confidence,"
Harvard Business Review, September-October, 1989.

If you need to cite a page number, the quotation is apparently on Page 3.

See:
"Jack Welch defines business leaders as individuals who can create and
communicate a vision, bring passion to the vision while at the same
time relentlessly pursue the vision to completeness. He also believes
that "above all else, though, good leaders are open. They go up, down
and around their organization to reach people. They're informal.
They're straight with people and they never get bored telling their
story" (Tichy & Charan, 1989, p. 3)."

---------
search strategy:
"jack welch" "articulate * vision"
"jack welch" "get bored telling their story"
"jack welch" "get bored telling their story" tichy

I hope this helps.
