Are you interested only in journal articles that are on the web, or
would you accept citations to journal articles that are available in
print or through library databases?

There are a number of books available about Leadership Practices
Inventory (LPI) at business publishers like John Wiley & Sons.
Searches for authors James M. Kouzes, Barry Z. Posner and Tom Peters
will yield book titles.

As for journals, many libraries have the Expanded Academic ASAP search
for journal articles: that's where I started with a simple search for
LPI. It yielded the first two journals, one of which is available in
an abstract via the Internet. Afterwards we tried an Internet search
and found at least 5 more journal articles. Note that the Google
search strategy below yields over 200 references, including doctoral
dissertations -- which I've EXCLUDED in this summary:

1. Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology, (June 2001)
"Assessing the discriminant validity of the Leadership Practices
Inventory" Sally A. Carless:

2. Journal of Applied Social Psychology
"Optimism and Pessimism in Business Leaders," (May 1, 1998)
Linda J. Wunderley; W. Brendan Reddy; William N. Dember.

3. Journal of Agricultural Education
"Self Evaluation of Leadership Practices and Behaviors Used by
Department Executive Officers in Agricultural Education" (Fall, 1993)
David R. Spotauski, Richard I. Carter

4. Journal of Extension
"Evaluating Community Leadership Programs," (February, 1996)
Garee W. Earnest, Program leader, Ohio State University Extension
Leadership Center

5. International Journal of Cross Cultural Management
"Leadership in Indian Organizations from a Comparative Perspective"
(Aug. 1, 2002)
Sudhir Kakar, Shveta Kakar, Manfred F.R. Kets de Vries, Pierre
Vrignaud
http://www.sagepub.co.uk/journals/details/issue/abstract/ab025874.html

6. Creativity and Innovation Management (vol. 3, 1994)
"Leadership {rofiles, Situation and Effectiveness"
G. Ekvall and J. Arvonen

7.	NASPA Journal
"Effective Orientation Advisors are Also Leaders" (Fall, 1997)
Barry Posner, Jeanne Rosenberger:
www.naspa.org/publications/journal/ files/Effective%20Orientation.pdf

Other fruitful places to look for journal articles will be places in
which the authors above have participated as editors:

Journal of Management Education
http://bernard.pitzer.edu/~obts/jme/JMEWeb.htm

Journal of Management Inquiry
http://www.sagepub.co.uk/journals/details/j0154.html

Journal of Business Ethics

Search strategy -- via Expanded Academic ASAP (on-line at many
libraries):
LPI

Google search:
"leadership practices" + LPI + journal
