If by Africans you mean people of Arican origin as well many of them served in the war, fighting alongside white men. they did an equal job, but were not treated as equals either then or later. Perhaps they realised as never before that all men are created equal |

Two reasons would be: -Ethiopia defeated Italy in a war just prior to WWI, which may have given other African countries the idea of gaining their own independence (independence=equality) -Having just fought the greatest war in history, at the time, all European colonialists (France, Germany, UK, etc.), would've been at their weakest state since the time they first colonized Africa. This would've gone a long way to influencing Africans to demand independence (again, independence=equality) |
