From experience with a couple of our dogs, this is often caused by an allergy to fleas. Dogs commonly have fleas - usually cat fleas funnily enough. The bites can cause a reaction which causes a rash. This rash causes a "wet dog" smell and is easily treated, from memory, with antibiotic cream. |
