I am trying to find a high resolution (preferably 300 dpi or more)
photograph of an Egyptian tomb painting of a male circucmision. You
can see a low resolution image of the painting at
http://dspace.dial.pipex.com/knb.urol/Main/history.htm
We would like to use it in a public-access publication (under PLoS,
the Public Library of Science)and I therefore need to know who holds
the copyright.

Dear briangerard-ga,

The picture you have referred me to is a modern representation of a
tomb relief from Egypt. I have also found a number of line drawings of
the same scene. Here?s one example.

However, I have found a very high quality photograph of the original
relief which is used in part of scholarly article in a medicine
journal written by post-doctoral research associate from Yale. The
source of the photograph, or its copyright owners is not stated. The
author?s full contact details are supplied.

I can only suggest that you contact him requesting the information, or
perhaps, do your own line drawing of the scene.

Would a link to the article, author?s details and the photograph of
the tomb relief answer your question?

Dear briangerard-ga,
I have now identified an image library from where you can purchase a
photograph of the tomb relief.
Let me know how you wish to proceed.
