could you tell me what it would cost for me to buy an antique
mezzotint painting "st james park"by george morland,engraved by
soiron, and another mezzotint painting by sir joshua reynolds"age of
innoncence"

Thanks Pinkfreud-ga,But my sister has these and wanted to know what
they are worth.When I looked the artist's name up on the internet,it
said that the artist was alive when the copies where made,using a
method called mezzotint.The mezzotint copies are on heavy paper,about
like card-board,with a velvet feel,not like a regular print.

I was unable to find the exact pricing you asked for on these two
items, but did come up with the following:

An appraisal dated 8/15/00 of the Reynolds "Age of Innocence" print at
$200

And a place where you can purchase a restrike (supposedly done from
the origninal plate) of the Morland/Soiron "St. James Park" for 55
pounds British (about $90):
