Hi! I am the co-director of a feature length digital movie that we
decided to distribute online for free ('Cactuses',
www.cactusesmovie.com, released March 15, 2006).

My question is, are there other recently made feature length movies
(after 2000) that have debuted on the internet as free downloads?

I am trying to discover if 'Cactuses' is the first or one of the first
American features to debut online as a free download prior to any
other sort of distribution (DVD, theater, etc.)

As of now I know of only two other new features online: 'Star Wreck'
(www.starwreck.com -- a Finnish film), and 'Nobody Needs to Know'
(nobodyneedstoknow.com). 'Star Wreck' is a movie made with
non-commercial intentions under a Creative Commons license -- the same
manner as our release. I am unsure whether or not 'Nobody Needs to
Know' has commercial intentions or has any sort of distribution deal.

Any help you can give me is appreciated! Thank you!
