About a year ago, I heard a song on a local rock station. It was a man
singing about how he'd be a man for his significant other. The singer
listed ways of what he would do. It was quite sweet. The singer was
solo, w/ no background singers, and it seemed to be made within the
last decade or so. Any information would be much appreciated, this
has being driving me crazy for quite some time.

No, sorry those lyrics don't sound familiar. It was a slower song, not upbeat.
