I am re-opening the following question ID: 701894, with first right of refusal to Rainbow-ga. I am currently going through the link that you provided http://www.dlib.org/dlib/may99/05paskin.html and will update if this is the answer. Sorry for the delay - it has been a really hectic time for me. Hello! I came across a research paper about two-three years ago that talked about the limitations of the DOI (Digital Object Identifier) system. Unable to locate it now. It briefly talks about how the DOI is basically a 'page redirect' etc. Would appreciate if you could locate this and/or related papers talking about the limitation and shortcomings of the DOI system. Thanks in advance. Pat79 | |
