Question ID: 714071
I am looking for an online doctor, an M.D. who will write a prescription
for Sonata, it's a sleeping medication and I need the 10mg pills.
Frequently they require some of the following, all of which I can do;
fill out forms online, or do a phone visit with them, or even fax
medical records. If they work with their own pharmacy and can fill it
there and send it to me, that would be ideal! Second choice, mail the
script to me and I'll fill it online myself and have it delivered to
my door.

Since am currently stuck in bed on Long Term Disability through Social
Security I'm also on a tight budget. This search will solve a LOT of
complications in getting my prescriptions and being able to afford
them!! You'll be a lifesaver if this works ; )

Ok, other meds that are needed in the future...
Sonata I need right away, the others I've got more time on.
Having contracted Lyme Disease 3 yrs ago and without treatment until
this summer, it makes for very painful and difficult episodes as I try
and dodge oncoming and serious complications. Some of the medications
that help me with symptom control are pain medication, other than the
non-narcotic's I've listed below. Sometimes vicodine or similar is
needed. Occasionally an antianxiety or muscle relaxers might be
sufficent.

The best used to be Bextra or Vioxx, both non-narcotic pain relievers.
 Unfortunetly the FDA pulled them from US markets. However, I believe
they can be purchased online from international pharmacies under the
name V-Cox, and other similar names. (the website will specify
whether or not its the generic of either) like it.

An online doctor who will take my written health application/history
or phone call and an online pharmacy, both which are reliable enough
is priority #1. I'll use them forever and it'll save loads of time
and money without getting out of bed!

I do realize some medications are not avaliable via these methods.
However, if I could become a patient of a doctor willing to do phone
consults and just mail me a regular prescription, for the stuff not
avaliable online that would be just fine.

I also don't mind ordering from out of the country if necessary due to
some of the limitations online within the U.S. Last I checked, FEMA
did allow a max 3 months supply of foreign meds across the border at a
time for personal use only.

If you can find and supply the names and numbers of Pharmacies and or
doctors abroad who provide these services I can use them as a backup
to whats not avaliable in the US. (I do need english speaking options
though and please find out, best you can, how reliable they are? It's
easy to get ripped off

Skip the online referral groups that "for a fee" will let you view
their "premium online pharmacy's..." if you know what I mean. It's
just a waste of money usually.

Sorry this is so long! But this could be so helpful. I've been put
on Long Term Disabilety through Social Security and I'm only 33. Only
two years ago I was a mortgage broker, now...stuck in bed.
PS
Hope this isn't asking to much....Would it be possible for you to call
the contact numbers provided just to be sure it's a legit number and
that they'll ship to US and speak english-before you return my email?

THANK-YOU!!  JULIA

Dear Julia,

First of all, I am sorry to hear of your problems. Here is a list of
several pharmacies. However, please note that I - as a Researcher - do
not endorse any of these pharmacies. I am basing my recommendation on
my Research.

One pharmacy that provides online consulting (in fact, they provide
only online consulting services, and send you to an affiliate
pharmacy) is The Meds Online.

They have very good reviews online, considered as trustworthy, and
sell Sonata. They do not serve KY and NC.

The problem with several other good and trustworthy pharmacies, is
that they do not disclose which drugs they perscribe. One could
consider using them nevertheless.

1steprescriptions
<http://www.1steprescriptions.com/>
Provides only FDA-approved drugs (that may incldue Sonata. However,
they do not mention whether they give prescriptions for controlled
substances ---> Sonata; this is why I have added several other
pharmacies/consultation services that are shipping Sonata).
Consultation costs money. Do not ship to Kentuky, Missouri, or the
Bristol region of Tennessee/Virginia. Working with their pharmacies.

Relatively positive reviews here:

ABC Meds Online
<http://www.abcmedsonline.com/index.html>

Provides doctor's consultation (and has good reviews in the
DrugBuyers.com site). do not deliver to KY and NC.

However, does not list sleep medicines as one of their treatments
(only muscle relaxation and pain killers).

Best RX Care is another "problematic" pharmacy in the sense that they
do not mention which drugs they have got.

ePainMedGlobal
<https://www.epainmedsglobal.com/index.php>
Provides only FDA-approved drugs (that incldues Sonata). Consultation
costs money. Do not ship to Kansas, Kentucky, Nevada & Missouri

Reviews of their customer support are mixed:

In general, the users of "Drugbuyers.com" give ePainMedsGlobal only 2
stars out of five.

Another pharmacy that received mixed reviews, but promises to provide
Sonata (as well as other meds you've mentioned) is

The problem with international pharmacies is:
- I haven't found any trustworthy international pharmacy that sells
Sonata (or a generic thereof).
- That means, that you'll have to order separately.

In addition, no US physician would prescribe something that the FDA
doesn't approve. To complicate the picture - you will have to present
a perscription for your medicines, when "importing" them, and you'd
like to obtain this prescription online (which means that you're
basically in a dead-end, within the law).

This would be less of a problem with Bextra (valdecoxib), which is
available online, in pharmacies with consulation services, for
example:

XL Pharmacy

Please note that you might be able to compare prices for medications
perscribed at:

Further Alternatives
====================
Because of the prices that serious pharmacies charge for online
consultation, check if you won't be covered by your insurance to have
a housecall, which is naturally much better than some anonymous online
diagnosis.

Physicians House Calls
<http://www.physicianshousecalls.com/>

Visitng Physicians Association
<http://www.visitingphysicians.com/>

(There are more, and you have to enquire with your county/district,
they might have a programme for people in your condition).

If you'll have a prescription from one of those physicians, you can
just fax it to a pharmacy in your area that does deliveries.

I hope this answers your question. Please contact me if you need any
clarification on this answer before you rate it.

Be very careful in chosing an online service. Some of the ones listed
about are no longer in business and some have really bad customer
service. Be careful out there!
