Do you mean as residents, or just gathered at some time? Did maybe Billionaires for Bush meet in Rye, NH? |

Ha. No i mean Residents of the town itself. My guess is it may have been true in the mid to late ninities. I heard the number was 8 billionaires in a town of probably 5,000 residents at most. The town apparently lost this billionaire status after the family owners of a food chain broke up & the money was divided. I would imagine most billionaires for Bush would meet in Kennebunkport, Me. |

Maybe the story has something to do with Tyco executives investing in Rye and neighboring towns: http://www.portsmouthherald.com/2004news/exeter/05022004/news/13989.htm This site from the last political campaign speaks of "the billionaires' club", but I expect that is hyp.. http://www.portsmouthherald.com/2004news/exeter/05022004/news/13989.htm I don't know any billionaires who would go to an opposition's political gathering (but then, I don't know any at all :-). |

Thanks, but both links are the same. Neither answers any real questions, but is certainly an interesting read. I am looking for a more definitive answer. |
