The person who is widely accredited with first three-phase commit (3PC) protocol is Skeen in Skeen, D., "A Formal Model of Crash Recovery in a Distributed System," IEEE Transactions on Software Engineering, vol.9, no.3, May 1983, pp.219-228. Searching high and low as I may, I wasn't able to find the persons who are widely accredited with the first one-phase commit (1PC) protocol and the first two-phase commit (2PC) protocol. I would like the authors' names and a citation (just like cited in 3PC above) for the first 1PC and the first 2PC. If there is any clarification needed, please don't hesitate to ask. Thanks. |
