Not that I can see in reviewing newspaper stories for the past 20 years.

Microsoft bought Softimage as a way of directly competing with Power
Animator. And Alias released a version of Power Animator that was
Windows NT operable.

Beyond that, though, they seem to have long been competitors.

What information would you need to have to make for a complete answer
in the negative...i.e., that Microsoft hasn't been the owner of Power
Animator?

OK sr. first of all thanks for your help, I will try to explain better
my question, sorry if my excuse me is not fine, my mother tongue in
the spanish.

I have a debate wiht a partner about the capadity of Microsoft to
figth in the advanced 3D animation market, I think Microsoft dont know
how to compete in that sector.

I want to demostrate that didīt have the capacity to continue owned a
supported SoftImage software and thatīs why sell sonfimage to Avid.

thanks for your help again.
