Is there a way to find the whereabouts of someone trying to hide in the Philippines through cell phone no or other means? This person has been moving around for the past 4 months so she could not be found. We need to serve a habeas corpus but the sheriff cannot find her. |

If the woman in question has committed a crime in the Philipines, it may be possible to work with the Philippino goverment and police to find her. Of course, if she hasn't done anything illegal, the police will probably not be willing to help (unless she's a minor, or in danger). You may be able to track her via cell phone usage, but that information is available to the Philipine police only, so they'd have to be involved. Just my two cents. |

grant0-ga Thanks for your comments. We tried the police but she managed to change location all the time. Even the police do not know where to find her. Police from small town in the Phil do not have the sophisticated technology that we have here in the States. |

Hi claire! The technology on tracking individuals is really not ideal right now in the Philippines. This will be a big challenge to you and the police. If people buy prepaid SIM cards for cellphones, they aren't required to register that and it will be easy to throw it away and buy another SIM card thereby having a new number. :( |

Easter, Thanks for your comments. It is indeed very hard to do anything in the philippines. There is a big culture gap. Claire |
