I am diabetic #2, thereby have thin skin. When I get a skin tear on my
legs, where the skin is missing, a clear liquid exudes, but no
healing. Healing occurs only after the area bleeds and a scab forms.
But the needed bleeding doesn't happen for a long time. I need some
medicine that I can apply that would make the area lightly bleed, so
that a scab can form. Or a quickly pricking of the area by a medical
tool. My question: What medical tool or medicine is there to help
shorten this agonizingly long wait for healing?

Sorry to hear you are having such a struggle. I guess you know that
this occurs because the blood vessels in your legs have been damaged
by the diabetes.

I know that some hospitals offer hyperbaric oxygen to assist people in
your situation, but usually only for infected brokendown areas. It
works well.

I wonder if nitrates applied in small doses around the area would
assist ? Your doctor would be the one to advise here and I'd be
interested to know if that helps, depends on the amount of damage I
guess. Side effects are headaches.

Best I can offer - don't get sucked in to buying stuff that doesn't
work. The very best thing you can do is keep a tight rein on those
blood sugars. Good Luck

First: I have no medical training, so i suggest you check with your doctor
I know the US army has developed fast-acting clotting materials:
whether any of them are suitable for you I don't know
