Question ID: 714914
Where can I download or buy the FULL version of Brin and Page's paper,
"The Anatomy of a Large-Scale Hypertextual Web Search Engine" on
Google's PageRank system?

I've found a dozen places where I can download an _excerpt_ from the
paper, but each place has the note "(Note: There are two versions of
this paper -- a longer full version and a shorter printed version. The
full version is available on the web and the conference CD-ROM.)" I
want the longer verson!

Have you tried the links at the bottom of this page?

Yes, and they all have the same "There are two versions of this
paper..." disclaimer that indicates it's the short version. I want the
entire paper. Is that the entire paper with just a misleading
disclaimer? If you can prove it is, you've answered the question and
deserve the credit. Thanks!

It certainly seems logical to assume that the version pointed to by
the links is the full version, but can you prove it? I have a boss
with a PhD here who's not sure either and he's trying to get me to
find the "full" version. I assured him this _was_ the full version but
he would like to make sure, so is there any way you (or
someone...anyone) can find out if the web version is the official full
version?

The "disclaimer" states that the full version is "available on the
Web" and that there is a "shorter printed version." It seems logical
to assume that the files accessible through the Stanford link, since
they are "on the Web," are the full version. Presumably the printed
version is distributed by mail or in person at seminars and such.
