Oh, and to be more clear, this will be a list of keyboards and
synthesizers with more than 2000 entries, but it does NOT include
regular pianos. Perhaps you could make that a separate question.

That's fine.
Keep that format and let's go with it.

Trey...
The database from which I derived the list is copyrighted, and
I'm waiting on a response to an email I sent requesting to use
and modify their list to create one in the format we discussed.
The database belongs to, and is maintained by the Harmony Central
website, with which I'm familiar because I play keyboards.
The page from which the list is derived is the following one:
'The Keyboards and Synths Database'
http://www.harmony-central.com/Synth/Data/00all.html
As you can see, this is a very comprehensive list, and includes
products such as synthesizer drum machines and expansion boards
as well as the keyboards themselves.
I have copied this list and modified it, removing extraneous
text, and turned it into a text file which I've uploaded to
a page on eSnips, but I'm obviously reluctant to provide you
with the address until I've heard back from Harmony Central.
If I haven't heard back from them within a reasonable amount
of time, I'll go ahead and give you the address to the file,
which is properly attributed:
Keyboards and Synths Database by Harmony Central®
Copyright © 1995-2006 Harmony Central, Inc. All rights reserved.
I'll ask that you post a Clarification when you've downloaded
the file, so that it can be removed from public domain.
If permission to provide you with the modified file is denied,
I can provide you with step-by-step instructions for copying
the list from the page, and removing the extraneous text.
Please post a Request for Clarification is any of this is
unclear, or needs elaboration.

Hi,
First off I won't be using this list any type of online or offline publication.
(I will be extracting the individual words and using them in google adwords).
So I can't possibly see how that would break any copyright law :)
Thanks,

Hi Trey...
I didn't mean to suggest that your use of the list might represent
any infringement. I just want to be sure that the use of the list
in my answer isn't considered to do so. I feel fairly confident
that, by providing the list in a file which is quickly removed
from the public domain, I will not be infringing, however I'd like
to give them a few days to respond the the email I sent.
If you have any kind of time considerations that makes this a problem,
please let me know.
