We are looking for realtor emails. Is this something given by the
goverment?
We have filed our real estate license in Florida and as
soon as we filed our documents with the state after passing the exam
we have been getting a lot of realtor related promotions by email.
We are almost sure it is related to the Department of Business and Professional
Regulation Division of Real Estate. |

The Department of Business and Professional Regulation does indeed
make available information on all real estate licensees in the state.
It is possible to download a large file with the name, address,
license number and similar information on every real estate license
holder in Florida. It is a very large file, in comma-delimited
format.
HOWEVER, the file does not include email addresses, nor do I see
anything at DBPR that indicates they make email addresses publicly
available.
It very well could be that marketers got your name and license
information from DBPR, and managed to find your email address the old
fashioned way ... by searching the internet for your name (try
it...you might be surprised what pops up!).
Also, if the exam was given at a private facility, it could be that
they are the ones who collected, and subsequently made available, your
email address. If that's the case, only they would be in a position
to provide you with a similar list (presumably, for sale).
Let me know if you would like me to show you how to access the DBPR
name and address file -- without emails -- as an answer to your
question.
And best of luck in your new Florida business...

Thanks for your reply.
We know how to access the files from the DBPR.
I really doubt that they get emails by searching online by names.
The real email marketing began after we registered with the national
association of realtors NAR. http://realtor.org/
But they claim they don't sell emails. Interesting.

The NAR privacy policy says, in part:
=====
4. We will not share, sell or otherwise provide other information
about you to third parties, except for:
Partners in our REALTOR VIP® Program for the limited purpose of
notifying you of NAR-approved promotions.
Exhibitors at REALTOR® trade shows for the limited purpose of
contacting you one time immediately before and after trade shows,
through marketing vehicles approved by NAR.
Other vendors for the limited purpose of contacting targeted groups of
members, through marketing vehicles approved by NAR.
=====
They may not SELL the list, but it certainly sounds like it's
available to a wide variety of users.
You would have to discuss with NAR directly how you might arrange for
similar "approved" marketing.

Thanks for your response. We are going to contact the NAR and find out
if the REALTOR VIP® Program provides realtor emails. We'll let you
know. If you need anything on your side pease let us know. Thanks.

Thanks for keeping me up to date.
If the NAR folks come through -- and if it seems that the information
I provided is an acceptable answer -- then let me know, so I can
formally post the information and collect the fee you offered.
Thanks again,
