I am looking for software (PC) me create a nice podcast.
I am looking for software along the lines of "Garage Band" (Apple) and
"Propaganda" (PC). Garage Band can be found at Apple.com and the
Propaganda software at MakePropaganda.com. The Propaganda website
allows you to download a demo.
Please go to MakePropaganda.com to view a screenshot.
The reason I like these two programs is because of the ease of
creation. Each sound clip has a different line (one above the other),
and if I want, I can have two lines going at the same time by
overlapping each other on the timeline. Importing is also easy. The
problem is?I can?t use Garage Band, and I am worried Propaganda won?t
produce the quality product I desire.
The software I am looking for will allow me, like ?Garage Band? and
?Propaganda?, to put sound segments on different lines (one above the
other), as I create a single podcast. I plan on recording the voice
on a field recorder and importing it in MP3 format to the software.
Therefore, the software does not need the ability to record. But it
does need to have a quality final product.
It is possible that these two programs are the only ones with this
capability. I have looked at programs like ?Audacity? and
?SoundForge? and ?Acid? but they seem to lack this ease of creation.
If I am wrong, please correct me and direct me to the appropriate
material/book/page that makes your point. I am not a dummy when it
comes to software, but I am a simpleton when it comes to sound
manipulation software.
If worse comes to worse, I will purchase ?Propaganda?, but first I
want to see if there are 3 or 4 software products with similar line
stacking that might have more bells and whistles.
Therefore the question can be summarized in the follow fashion: Are
there software products similar in nature to ?Garage Band? and
?Propaganda? that have similar podcast creation models (line over
line)? If so, please list what they are, where they can be found, and
how much they cost. This answer will be viewed as completed if 3 or 4
comparable software programs are listed. |
