Question ID: 715544
I have trying to locate the film itself about the 20 year old mother
of a two year old, who was dying of a rare form of bone cancer in 1971. The
husband was a musician. She spoke to her daughter on a tape recording
telling the little girl about herself and how much she loved her. She
wanted her little girl to know what her mother was like since she was
too young to remember her. John Denvers' "Sunshine" was the theme
music. Where can I find this movie?

I believe you're referring to a made-for-TV movie called "Sunshine."

"A young woman living in the woods with her husband, a struggling
musician, and her daughter discover she has terminal cancer. She
begins to tape-record a journal of the time she has left."

Internet Movie Database: Plot Summary of Sunshine (1973) (TV)

A DVD of "Sunshine" (with its sequel, "Sunshine Christmas") is offered on eBay:

The eBay auctions to which I linked above have now ended. If the 1973
film "Sunshine" is the correct movie, I'll be glad to try and find
another place where you may purchase a tape or DVD. I hope to hear
from you.
