Can someone tell me how many hospitals are located in Japan? If it can
be broken down by hospital size that would be most helpful (for
example the number of hospitals that are <500 beds, 500-1000 beds,
>1000 beds). If that is not possible, I will accept the total number.

According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, there are
9,122 hospitals in Japan.

?The number of hospital beds in Japan (excluding those in general
clinics and dental clinics) totaled 1,278.9 per 100,000 population in
2003.?
