I am quite certain that there isn't any federal law banning sales taxes on food. Regarding Colorado, since some towns in Colorado offer a rebate on sales taxes on food (to those who meet certain income guidelines), I presume that such taxes are legal: http://www.ci.greeley.co.us/cog/PageServiceDetails.asp?fkOrgID=17&SDID=4 |
