Hi!!

The differences in all Hydrocodone medications are sometime only in
the brands (same formulations), presentations or concentrations (same
formulations but more or less amount of drug per dosis or pill), and
sometimes there are different formulations. In almost all formulations
Hydrocodone is commonly available in tablet, capsule and syrup form;
and each form is commonly available in different presentations
(concentrations).

For example Lortab, Lorcet, and Vicodin are the same formulation under
different brands, they have a common formulation: acetaminophen +
hydrocodone.
The following are the more known brands of this formulation: Anexsia,
Anolor DH5, Bancap HC, Dolacet, Lorcet 10/650, Lorcet HD, Lorcet Plus,
Lortab, Lortab 10, Lortab 5/500, Lortab 7.5/500, Lortab Elixir, Norco,
T-Gesic, Vicodin, Vicodin ES, Vicodin HP, Zydone. Between all the
above brands there are no differences if the presentations are the
same.

Acetaminophen with hydrocodone is used for the relief of moderate to
severe pain. It is a narcotic analgesic, and its drug class is: OPIATE
AGONISTS.

"What is Vicodin?
? Hydrocodone (related to codeine) is in a class of drugs called
narcotic analgesics. It relieves pain.
? Acetaminophen is a less potent pain reliever that increases the
effects of hydrocodone.
? Together, Vicodin is used to relieve moderate-to-severe pain.
? Vicodin may also be used for purposes other than those listed in
this medication guide. "

increases the effects of hydrocodone.
