federal job benefits compared to california state job benefits - which are better and why? FERS vs. CalPers? I noticed some federal jobs will pay for my existing college tuition loan - that's a big plus for me. I am an experienced legal assistant/secretary and I'm trying to decide which would be better to get a job with - a local federal agency or a California state agency. Do you have any suggestions as to the best federal agency (or Calif state agency if their benefits are just as good as federal)? |

Hi eams, I found two resources for you to use to compare the benefits. One is a list of Federal Employee Benefits, the other is a list of State of CA employee benefits. You can peruse the lists and select the best fit for you. You know your needs, and the selection is amazing! Government Employee Benefits http://usgovinfo.about.com/blbenefits.htm State of California - Compensation and Benefits http://www.spb.ca.gov/Benefitsrd.cfm http://usgovinfo.about.com/library/states/blcalifornia.htm ~~Hope this helps! ~~Cynthia Search terms used at Google: federal employees "job benefits" California state employees "job benefits" |
