My roommate and I (not related) are both on the car title for my 1996 Subaru. I would like to transfer the title into her name only. I do not want to "sell" the car for money, I just want my name off of the title. How do I go about that? I live in Illinois. Do both of us have to sign the back of the title? Any and all info would be greatly appreciate. Thanks, Carol |

Go to the DMV together and they will tell you how to do it on the spot. You may have to "sell" your half to her for a $1. That being the considerationg required in a sale. |
