Question ID: 717097
i have been searching for a place that does customized photo planters.
Just like we can have a photo transferred (sublimation) on to a coffee
mug , i am looking for a place that will sublimate ( is that the right
word?) my photo on to a planter. PLanter can be terracota , resin ,
marble , ANYTHING as long as it is not a corporate order place (
because i want only 1 >

This is a time sensitive request -- if the
answer cannot be found in a few hrs from now, there is little chance that i can
use this info at all, because the gift giving time fast-approaches !

There are many places that engrave stuff on planters and stuff , but i
want a planter ( approx. 6in ht) that will have a color photo
transferred on to it. There are also places which sell square planters
which have a window where we can insert a photo ( like baby shower
gifts), i am not interested in these -- i want the photo to be
transferred on to the planter. Alternate words for planters that i
have searched for include "pot","flowerpot","vase","bowl" etc.

Pls help a distressed gift searcher -- i have spent more than 2 full
days searching this on google -- yawn--no sleep!!!

Hello upparna-ga,

What a lovely idea. I haven't been able to find a photo transfer
vendor that specifically creates planters but I might have a solution
for you if you do some of the assembly work yourself.

I've found some photo transfer companies that use the process for
transferring images to tile. I'm sure they would be able to do the
necessary photo transfers for you. You could discuss with them if they
could do a custom planter project for you.

Alternately, you could find a planter that would be sized so that you
could glue your tiles to the planter yourself.

give this gift *next* year :-)
I'd expect weather to be biggest problem if planter/container will be outdoors.
