Did Charles Dicken's "A Tale of Two Cities" win any sort of literary awards?

He was able to pay the rent. 

A lot of his books were serials in newspapers, 
that is why they are so long and choppy.

Did pretty well for starting out as a kid making boot black and
picking old ropes apart.

The only prize I found that Dickens won was the Latin prize in his school.

I rather doubt that there were prizes for literature in his day, but
couldn't find anything to support this.
