What rubber or foamy material has the best traction or "grip" when
slid across a material such as canvas.  I'm building a machine similar
to the one found below and I need a few ideas of what materials to
look into. Also, would the rubber grip the canvas better if it was a
flat sheet, textured(how?), or tilted instead of parallel to the
surface?
